Fibroma nodule on the ball of foot.

Hello,

Has any one out there experienced having a fibroma on the ball of the foot? If so please tell me your story.
I orignally had 2 in the arch. I have had radiation for those and they appear to be shrinking. Last round of RT on that foot was 4 months ago.

On week 5 after round 2 of RT I began to experience tons of nerve pain in the foot and ankle. I was told possible tarsal tunnel. I went to a chiropractor who helps open up the tunnel. He used this viberating tool on the bottom of the foot. He attempted to break up the fibroma. (which of couse did not work). His attempted caused this new fibroma to grow.

In March I will be 6 months out from last round of RT. My oncologist said he would treat with RT at that time. He wanted to wait at lesast 6 months because a very small section of the nodule was within the radiated field

I am wondering will RT really help when it is in this area?
I have since learned that RT is only success when in the proliferating firbroblast stage. Since I can Not fly off to Germany.

I am also wondering if anyone knows How can I determine hwen the best time is to treat this?

I did send this picture to Prof. S and he said it appeared by the photo that it was indeed fibroma and RT should work well.

Please if anyone has ever had such a situation as this. Fibroma on the ball of foot or fibroma following RT. Please your input would be great.
Thank you
Jolene
