Re: Footwear, trainers flip flop recommendations?

I tried the Clarks Wave shoes and they didn't work for me. Feel like the Clarks Unstructured are better. Since everyone has nodules and symptoms in different areas of their feet, just have to try to find what works best around those tender areas. My pain is mostly in my arch and ball of foot.

I do well (better, don't do "well" with anything) with a shoe where the heel sits lower than the front of the shoe. It takes pressure off my arch and ball of foot. Nothing beats a tennis shoe for me though with a thick sole, gel insert, and fairly flat.

I am one of those people that cannot go barefoot. Just excruciating. But, trying nevertheless to toughen up these tender feet.

I envy you that can go barefoot, walking in the sand in Florida over Christmas was the best for me. But living in Alaska..... The brand that I have found best is fit flops, different shape and feel best, somewhat like a toner shoe.

Re: Footwear, trainers flip flop recommendations?

Thanks all.

Interesting to hear how different this is for everyone. Like you say its best to try and see. This seems to be somewhat expensive as i need a few weeks to see how the shoes work. Im off to try some skechers on the go shoes at the weekend so many people say they are comfy but knowing my nodes that might not apply.

I also envy those that can walk barefoot. It wouldn't be a good idea here in the UK.

Re: Footwear, trainers flip flop recommendations?

Hi All,

Just a quick update if it helps anyone.

I have just been and brought 2 pairs of skechers "go walk 2" and "on the go" they are similar technology and i can confirm they are very lightweight and i can understand why they are so comfy! Having said that i dont know if they are right for me?!

The soles are very soft and squishy! They make everything feel a little like walking on air, yet after a day of walking in them, im not sure if they help my nodules much. Its something that will take time, but im wondering if a harder sole is better? Still im happy with them for the moment!

Thanks
