Going to Germany for RT!

Hi Everyone
I've decided I'm going to have RT with Prof Seegenschmiedt in Hamburg. A big investment in airfares from my part of the world, but I believe health is everything

Thanks to everyone who shared their stories

I'll keep you posted about how I go

Re: Going to Germany for RT!

Hi cyclist

Me too! First round next month.

For hand DD, at least.

My left foot hurts too with PF but I can't detect any lumps.

I too will provide some feedback that I hope is useful to others.

Best wishes (to us )

Nice to hear from you Spanishbuddha! We'll be able to compare experiences when we get back. I'm the opposite: large nodules in both feet and aching hands without any visible signs (as yet)

All the best to you!

Re: Going to Germany for RT!

Thanks for your thoughts Lori and Flojo

Flojo - I felt the same sense of relief you describe once I'd made the decision to go with RT. The pain is somehow easier to deal with knowing that there's a good chance it will improve or at a minimum stop progressing.

All the best
Di

Hi Di and Spanishbuddha,

Germany! Please tell us more. Have you spoken to anybody there in Hamburg yet? How long will you be staying there? Do they do the treatment in one round or multiple rounds? I'm just learning about this and from what I've read the treatment schedules vary from OK, La Jolla and Hamburg. I'm excited for you both!

Re: Going to Germany for RT!

Diane

I have had an email discussion and consultation with Prof Seegenschmiedt. I sent photo's and a history of the condition.

He agreed I was a candidate for a physical examination, and RT thereafter if indicated.

The RT will be the regime of once a day for five days and then repeated three months later.

So you need to stay in Germany for at least five days, if treated. The Professor gave me a choice of some dates so I could fit it in around work and family.

Best wishes

Re: Going to Germany to Prof. Seegenschmiedt for RT !

Congratulation to both of you !

You will not regret your decision: Prof. Seegenschmiedt is the top capacity for the LED and DUP condition.

He will be able to examine your feet and hands and provide a perspective for the long-term development.
They also use magnetic resonance imaging to visualize the size, depth and involvement of deep structures,
if necessary

The PROF will not do, what may have time to wait and he will not do, what is gone to far - he uses the
"Corridor of Active Disease" in which he sees the best approach to inhibit the basic activity of fibroblasts
- that's aleast what he explaned to me, and at least for my feet it worked very well - the ugly pain has
completely disappeared, the nodules in the foot soles are down by over 50% in size, and no side effects
from the radiation (may be a little dryness on the foot sole !). I was very pleased with this result after
a long odysee of unprofessional activities from several medical disciplines

In addition: HAMBURG is really a top choice to spend a week, lot's of culture, events, history, art, music ...

Please keep us further informed about the process of treatment and take pictures of what is done ... Larry
