ML and MRI
hey there,
I am wondering if ML can be seen easily on MRI?! I have noticed a nodule on my right food some 2 weeks ago. I woke up in the morning feeling a strage pain and when I touched my foot I found that strange nodule, which seemed to be located directly on the large tendon of the arch of my foot. At the moment it does not hurt to much, anyway I have seen two doctors who both told me it was ML. One of them sent me to have an MRI of my foot. Result: the plantar fascia is ok... so, what does this mean now?!?! Is it ML or not??? The nodule is still there! Is it possible that it is not visible in the MRI???
I hope you can help me!
Take care!

Re: ML and MRI
Difficult questions ... looks like that we have no MRI expert in the forum. The fact that you got a nodule quickly out of nowhere might indicate that you have something else. Ledderhose nodules usually take time (months and more often years) to grow to a uncomfortable size. There are other reaons for nodules in the foot. Some of the "other causes" listed for Dupuytren's on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytr..._therapies.html might also apply for nodules on the foot. Only a doctor inspecting your foot can reliably diagnose what you are suffering from.
Good luck!
Wolfgang

Re: ML and MRI
thank you wolfgang!
the problem is that i have already seen two doctors who diagnosed ML. the second doctor sent me to the MRI and the MRI says that teh plantar fascia is ok. i have the impression that the doctors don't know very much about ML or similar problems. the MRI is clean, so my foot is "clean" too (according to them). anyway the nodule is still there and the can docs can feel it too! what shall I do now?? wait and see if it grows? and what if it is cancer??
