New treatments?
Hello, I am new to this site, but I am trying to find out all I can about Ledderhose disease. I have had plantar fibroma in both feet. I have had 4 surgeries in my right foot; the last one was in 2008, and I had a large fibroma on the arch, which was removed and partial faisiectomy done. It was a long recovery and it looks like it has returned in that foot, and now I have a large fibroma in my left foot that has been growing for a couple of years. I have tried to contact Auxillium to see if the are any trials for collagenase use in PF. They said not at this time. Has anyone had any luck with cryosurgery for this? I live in Nashville, TN, and am trying to find good options other than another surgery!

Re: New treatments?
Have you read about RT on this site? I'm starting RT on Monday for my LT. It sounds encouraging. Good luck with your research.

allycattn: I would like to hear how your RT is working for you.
I had RT treatment November 09 for my Ledderhose on my left foot. Two hard, marble size nodules are now almost non-existent, I would say they are 85% gone. I also had RT at the same time on my left hand where I had multiple nodules on my palm. About half of the nodules are gone, the remaining half are much softer and smaller. My hand doesn't feel tight....however, I do have new nodules on the hand (but all new nodules are outside of the radiated area).
The constant itching burning I felt in my right hand and left foot has stopped. I believe the RT stopped the progression of the disease.
