lumps in other parts of body?

hello,I am new user I have dupuytrens ,peyronies ,ledderhose ,knucklepads ,and the latest news Its growing in my neck and forearms ,I had 8 knuckle pads excised 7 years ago ive had two surgerys by doctor eaton and one by dr klein 6months ago pinky is all ready bent in half .I am a 50 year old male .the peyronies was triggered by the antidepressant citalopram one of the side effects of this antidepressant are more intense erections which for me turned into peyronies I would say to steer clear of this antidepressaant drug if you are a male with dup .Has anybody had this stuff spread into their neck or forearms? would appreciate any feed back .

Jambo,

I've been active in patient-driven forums for some years now and no one has reported anything like this, though I do remember a post regarding growth in the wrist. Have you had it medically confirmed that the lumps in your neck and forearms are Dups growth? You have had a rough time with this regardless.

well the lump in my neck is over my lymphnode my doctor sent me in to get a ultrsound they just found this lump its the same as in my feet which are very large and actually grtow up the insides of my arches ,the wrist i just discovered my left hand has always been unnaffected except for knuckle pads I am a fingerstyle guitarist my left hand is used for fretting I have lesions were between my thumb and index finger.where i hold the neck of guitar the lump in my wrist was looked at by a guy who does rolfing and specializes in connective tissue disorder hes actually related to ida rolf he says its from pinching index finger to thumb it feels like the lumps I have growing all up and down the side of my right hand werer it rests on the guitar

Re: lumps in other parts of body?

Dupuytren-like nodules may grow elsewhere (see http://www.dupuytren-online.info/related_diseases.html) but they may then be called fibromatosis or something else. Not every nodule is Dupuytren either (see section "first exclude other causes" on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytr..._therapies.html). To diagnose a nodule correctly sometimes even requires cutting it out which, as we know, may foster growth of other nodules. Sure makes sense to avoid anything that pushes Dupuytren, like the anti-depressiva. Maybe a diet or taking NAC is worth a try?

I believe I need to correct my comment. I don't think that anti-depressive medication pushes Dupuytren. Jambo had mentioned that his "peyronies was triggered by the antidepressant citalopram" but that's a different effect ...
