Too simple, but true
I'm new to this forum, but feel I have something important to put out there. It's a long story, but I'll keep it short. I've had Dupuytren Contracture for a number of years, but never sought treatment for it. I have it in both hands, with the right hand ring finger being restricted from aligning with the other fingers and the left middle finger not being restricted but the tendon was enlarged like a rope. I went to a Dr. 6 months ago for an unrelated reason, and was told that I had gout. This turned out to be wrong, but, while the blood work was being annalized, I went home, googled gout, and saw where drinking water would help, along with lime juice. I started drinking 32 ounces of water with lime when I got up, and drank another 32 ounces throughout the day. Within 5 days, I noticed that I could align the fingers on my right hand for the first time in years, and the "rope" on my left hand was getting smaller. When it was determined that I didn't have gout, I quit using lime juice, but having continued drinking the water as before. My left hand "rope" is almost gone, and my right hand continues to be unrestricted. Don't know why drinking water should affect Dupuytren Contracture, but, in my case, it has.

Well I noticed that too: when I drink more water the nodules in my hand get a little softer . Doesn't happen if I drink herbal teas . It's weird because I I guess water works differently than any other liquid even if it's not with caffeine I'll try your method and let you know if it works Thanks for the input Katbel

it could have something to do with the lime juice.
I read somewhere that it can help stop abnormal cell growth. I've been trying it for about a week now and have not noticed any difference.

Re: Too simple, but true
It's acid in the water if it's lime or lemon in water ???? I drink a pint of water every am to jump start my metabolism. I do add lemon. It would be like a vergin Margarita. Add a bit of salt around the rim of the glass add lime & ice and you have a cool simmer drink.
This disease is a metabolic disease connected to so many different theories . Autoimmune disease to psoriasis.
I treated my psoriasis and DC. in my case it's possibly a genetic factor. Or hand and wrist injuries as well as the various plethora of reasons for DC on the web. With water adding acid - lemon or lime it plumps up the hands and skin. That's all I have noticed from drinking water. Yet my doctor said it has no relation to eliminating the collegen that builds up in the tissues in hands, shoulders or other areas of the body where to much collagen is produced .
I am glad to read of your success story with water. I wish it were that easy in my case. I have read a few blogs about water and also lime & lemon . How thickened tendons got a gout diagnosis from your doctor, because it's a form of arthritis usually in the big toe a inflammatory disease usually a swollen, red hot toe.

Did you noticed better improvement after using water+lime?

Hey, water is the best solution for any issue, but only thing is that it takes time. You should continue with this only. It's good for your active lifestyle.

Any updates? Do you still drink lots of water? Lemon/lime? Any change-- good or bad in your hands?

Re: Too simple, but true
Hi fellows,
If we just drink a few glasses of water with a bit lemon/lime but still continued to eat some industrialized broths, processed food, sugar, wheat, dairy products...you don't make any progress.
I think was easier to modified my diet than take some airplane and try to do a RT because of my Dup. Guys, it's inutil try everything as treatment if we are not committed to modified our diet radically.
I was 100% pro Traditional medicine, 100% pro pain killers, I loved eat meat, love sodas and juices, total chocolate addicted. For sure I was far from the alternative medicine and I didn't believe in "power of the nature".
