R/T Treatment Specs
Does anyone have technical specifications as to how deep an electron beam therapy treatment should go in to my skin. I don't quite understand the particulars of this. Do I just trust my Doctor in setting the machine correctly?
He is going to do an MRI and a Cat scan first (is that going to determine the depth of treatment?)
Also: Should I insist on an ultrasound test too? I thought I read that it would be more revealing than an MRI and CAT

Your doctor will decide the depth. The electron beam will be set to an energy level to correcponds with the required depth. The depth is set by setting the energy level. For the Dups hand this is typically about 4MeV or 5MeV with a 5mm bolus.

Re: R/T Treatment Specs
See my thread from a few days ago. I posted images that show how deeply the electron-beam dosage penetrates at various levels.
